RICH RICHER RICHEST

RICH GETS RICHER, POOR GETS POORER UNLESS YOU ADJUST YOUR SAILS TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION

Some infamous person said!

In this world, even if we say several things about being rich and how it meant to each one of us, still the fact is we’d still look at the wealthy people lives. Because of our curiosity that have no bounds to what fashion wear and how they walk or what they do in their pastime. The psychotic fantasy of knowing whether they are different from us or are we unlucky to have nothing when we’re blessed with all. PITY! are you? But that’s the truth.

People with money are valued all over the world, no matter whatever edge they’ve to conquer because they are greedy and want to be on top of world. Noticing a cool person walking in style with branded clothes or posh car doesn’t make you rich. Or even close. Checking out her red catwalk heels, which displayed recently in the latest collection, wasn’t the actual point when you looked at her feet. Were you checking her out? Or thinking of whether you had one of those in your collections? Catwalk was just an example but not necessary it should’ve been branded. You were wearing just plain red heels however, what you’d have noticed was not the red choice but the slight wear out ones. Probably days of rough use but you can’t explain to a person who was checking you out. He/she is just rich. Thank Lord he/ she noticed you out of the league just cause you fall into category of nobody.

In our so-called society, people look up mirrors to chant, “Who’s the richest man of all?” And they would’ve count the heaps of money to their endless joy in numerous bank accounts. BUT they never came with NO PROBLEMS TAG because they’re greedy all the time. Rich or poor, Life doesn’t come with no problems unless you are an alien to all matters that’s happening around you. Wearing different shades of dresses like as you change boyfriends’ nth time and still you probably won’t have anything to wear. In every penny, you bring something to the room to dress the whole makeover won’t be rich enough when you did actually borrowed or stole your friend’s dress to wear and that’d make you priceless. Because you’re sick. Sick of being RICH enough!!!

All know J.K ROWLING, the writer of Harry potter series, Casual Vacancy and many more releases coming up and her rag to riches story. Back in early 90s, Rowling was a young, unemployed single mother and desperate to make her ends meet. On her journey via train between London and Manchester for job, began to create a children fantasy story to entertain her daughter Jessica. (if I’m not wrong) She wasn’t sure how she was going to feed herself or her daughter. But she continued to tell her daughter the story of an ordinary boy named Harry who just happened to be a wizard. Fighting poverty and depression, and living in a dingy flat in Edinburgh trying to raise her daughter on welfare of $100 a week. Escaping her shabby life sitting in a café at some point, she began writing the story into a full-length book that was rejected by three publishing houses at that time. Thanks to Bloomsbury Children Books, she is one of the billionaire rich woman whose contributing her life allowances to charity. One of the rich person whom I find fantastic than Harry Potter.

“Failure meant a stripping away of the inessential. I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy to finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one area where I truly belonged. I was set free, because my greatest fear had been realized, and I was still alive, and I still had a daughter whom I adored, and I had an old typewriter, and a big idea. And so rock bottom became a solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life”

In April 2010, Rowling published an article in The Times in which she heavily criticized Cameron’s plan to encourage married couples to stay together by offering them a £150 annual tax credit. What strike me is her statement to the above claim!

“Nobody who has ever experienced the reality of poverty could say “it’s not the money, it’s the message”. When your flat has been broken into, and you cannot afford a locksmith, it is the money. When you are two pence short of a tin of baked beans, and your child is hungry, it is the money. When you find yourself contemplating shoplifting to get nappies, it is the money. If Mr Cameron’s only practical advice to women living in poverty, the sole carers of their children, is “get married, and we’ll give you £150”, he reveals himself to be completely ignorant of their true situation. How many prospective husbands did I ever meet, when I was the single mother of a baby, unable to work, stuck inside my flat, night after night, with barely enough money for life’s necessities? Should I have proposed to the youth who broke in through my kitchen window at 3 am? Half a billion pounds, to send a message – would it not be more cost-effective, more personal, to send all the lower-income married people flowers?

She is one of the finest piece who became a rich Mogul through writing. Hats off to the brilliant writer whose children stories are still read worldwide. Presently she is the president of GINGERBREAD sold many of her works namely Fantastic Beasts and where to find them and Quidditch through the ages to millions to help raise charity funds to young children and infants in crisis. She’d contributed her earnings to set up medical research and studies on multiple sclerosis. Her other philanthropic works are appreciated and is an active supporter for Shannon trust and many other charitable organizations.

I always want to write a post on her because I was crazily in ‘aww’ with this writer from Grade 7. I always imagine her world of bringing up characters like Harry, Ron and Hermoine. And that’s what writers are for!! Bringing the extraordinary characters to our imaginary world. I’d like to know what’d be her interpretation of being rich. I’m sure her reply would be her family and all those moments…STILL CURIOUS! 😀

If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals. ~ J.K Rowling

  1. Nicely expressed, Jensy. Material possessions don’t make us rich.
Success sure makes us rich. JKR is rich as she has spread so much richness with Harry Potter’s magic all around & of course with her philanthropy 🙂

  3. Hi, great post and I loved all the info on JK
I remember reading once that the richest person is not the one that has the most but the one that need the least.
My life has its up and down but I have finally realised what I want to do and that’s great, even if at late 50s 🙂 I am not going to be rich as JK but I probably will need the list.
JK is a great example as the previous commenter said, she did not forget where she came from.
    Great blog.

      Cheers and Hugs

  4. Great post – I especially liked the info on JK Rowling. I live in Edinburgh where you can see the cafe where she wrote her book to save heating costs in the winter. It’s good that she didn’t forget those days when she became wealthy.
