Saffron, White and Green

India-Republic-Day-2013-6Saffron, White and Green– The tricolors of  the Indian flag. The saffron color represents courage and sacrifice; white – truth, peace and purity; green – prosperity; and the Ashok Chakra represents the Laws of Dharma (righteousness)

Photo0657Waking up to the patriotic song truly enthralled that its republic day. However, Indians like me, it’s just another holiday. Oh yeah, I never knew that I was leaving tonight on a republic day to my mother nation. I guess that is a first time.

We Indians have already raised our white voices reasoned into debates in worldwide nation. There is a clamor of silver-coated bullets from thoughtful disciplined elders and the vibrant youths.

Hoping to see a better nation! When world wakes up to horrific news daily, let hopes and prayers be the chance of building up our country into a better place. Be the change you want to seek!

As Tagore said:

I have become my own version of an optimist. If I can’t make it through one door, I’ll go through another door – or I’ll make a door. Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.

If elders and ancestors can bring our country independence, then so do we, youngsters can bring peace, freedom and justice.

Wishing all a Happy Republic Day!

Saluting our mighty army men who protect us and sacrifice their lives for our country.

Salute India. I am proud to be Indian. Jai Hind.Pic14_SL_1_4_2011
