Invest in daily Vita-mins


Vitamins are essential micronutrients to be taken as daily supplements in small quantities for proper functioning of its metabolism. If vitamins are to be taken so does virtues to adapt for a good healthy life.

If you’ve read my previous post, you shall know, there is no short cut to healing and it is a life long commitment: It’s a hard to totally go against your daily comforts and you will see better days when you start to rule out things that makes you a slave to laziness. There are good virtues in which most of us can adopt for a healthy living:

TEN GOOD OL’ VITAMINS WE CAN LIVE BY:

  • Gratitude and Forgiveness – a thanksgiving prayer is a must for everyone. What are we even, without the grace of his glory. PRAYER
  • Exposure to Sun – Good amounts of Vitamin D is important for our healthy mind and soul. Thanks to our sedentary lifestyle, we often faced difficult to get adequate amounts of sunlight on a daily basis. This is an essential element for calcium absorption, good gut health and maintenance of melanin.sunset_girl_sillhoette_369103_o
  • Eat Healthy and Be Healthy – One thing I lack was eating breakfasts on time. Often being late to classes at medical school, I skipped this luxurious meal just to catch up with my routine and then eat a humongous brunch on most days. That became a practice at my work place too. It took its toll when I started having no energy and indefinite tiredness by the end of day after dealing with numerous patients. Hence the doctor became the patient! Slowly but steadily. Eat nutritious meals. Eat on Time. Break your meals into 5 or 6 mini portions throughout the day. Take multi-vitamin supplements daily along with food. This is needed in our present scenario. If you practice this daily, exercise becomes 20% requirement. A walk in the open air or light stretching exercises does wonders for your mind, body and soul. Meditation in form of yoga or practicing mindfulness does bring a lot of positivity.   • Manage your time better“Self Discipline” is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. With discipling our life comes great prosperity and good health. Theodore Roosevelt once said, “With self- discipline most anything is possible”. Confidence comes only to those who are well trained in self discipline. And that being said, learn to take time for fun. Enjoying every moment with it. The world is spinning. What you do with your time on it will not change that fact that it is continuously spinning – neither faster nor slower. Sometimes you have to enjoy the ride. Constant worrying ain’t no good!
  • Unplug from power devices -When there is no power, no internet and no means of “entertainment,” what will you do? You will breathe and relax eventually. And hear nothing but the city hustling sounds, occasional dogs barking, birds singing, neighbours talking and the powerful wind. And remember that the world keeps spinning regardless of what we do every hour. It is an opportunity given to disconnect and reflect. Then we start talking. Talking to us, and to the person next to you. Without any distractions. Can you live without these power gadgets for days? Think about it.
  • Work for a better living“You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find you get what you need.” Each one of us can involve in different degrees of activity. ‘Work to live and not live to work’- spending quality time for work is apt and not compromising your entire time and health to work for ever. Not everything is wanted, choosing what is needed is esssential. Needs and wants are two different words, often confused and intermixed. Introspect. 
  • Engage in Healthy catharsis – When you engage in good thoughts only, positive vibes experienced. Read to know more about it in underlinked.
  • Quit bad habits – Our body is our temple. Quitting takes a lot of time – building a habit is easier. Quit smoking, alcohol consumption, bad habits of complaining, jealousy, envy and malice.
  • Good VirtuesEmpathy. Kindness. Compassion. Resilience. Try to find the meaning of these virtues in your life. Self – love is good but being sensitive to your own pain and selfishness doesn’t mean you have the rights to hurt others verbally or physically. Change your perspective for a good living.   • Practice ProactiveOur health is our greatest wealth. There aren’t anything that’s expensive than our health, even if you consider all the fortunes you’ve built up. What is the point in living if you haven’t had the life to live it? Seek trained professionals and get regular comprehensive check ups done every year. Quit unhealthy practices and affirm a healthy state of living. It’s easier to treat when the conditions are diagnosed at an earlier stage.

    And I think I really needed this to read. I really need self-discipline in life right now.
    These vita-mins are really necessary for us. Really loved this post. It’s very useful.

  2. Thank you so much for this valuable expert’s advice. I try to follow most of them( exceptional and occasional dates are always there). Though I take multivitamins too but I always had a doubt whether should take them or not. Thanks for clarifying that point too. God bless you😊
